Leadership: Dress For Success

Under $50 Professional

Long sleeve top / Three quarter sleeve jacket / H M black skirt, $23 / Nly Shoes high heel sandals, $45 / Vintage handbag

Hello! I hope everyone is having a lovely Wednesday. Tonight I am lucky enough to be putting on a fashion show at my school. I got to style the outfits and put together pieces that I thought were appropriate. This particular fashion show is for those who are unsure about what to wear to a career fair or interview. Dressing properly while still showcasing your style and personality is crucial to showing recruiters who you are! No one will want to hire you or follow you if you don't look the part.

Make sure what you choose to wear is appropriate. Go with a longer pencil skirt and a blouse that flatters as well as demonstrates modesty! No one wants to see cleavage at an interview or career fair. These are common pieces every woman should own for professional wear, but do not be afraid to let your personal style shine through. Wear a statement necklace or a printed shoe to spice things up. Adding a blazer and a structured handbag will complete the look.

A lot of people think that buying professional clothing is expensive, but it doesn't have to be! Stores like H&M as well as TJmaxx sell great business like pieces for under $50.

If you want people to take you seriously in any professional situation, you have to look the part. Besides, when you look good, you feel good :) Have a great rest of your day
