Hello! I hope everyone had a great spring break. I know I did :) During my time relaxing and catching some sun I finally had time to read a book that wasn't for school. In a previous post I mentioned reading Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy by Geralyn Lucas. I had high hopes for this book going in and it didn't disappoint.

The storyline of the book is Geralyn's battle through breast cancer. She explains her ups and downs through the entire process with a flare that is bound to catch anyone's attention.

One of the main themes of the book was leadership. Not in a sense of leading others, but leading your own life. Geralyn struggles with the fact that she contracted breast cancer at the young age of 27, but she has a choice. She can live life everyday thinking that the breast cancer will prevail or she can get up, put lipstick on and live life to the fullest.

I think life is about finding your own lipstick. Find that one thing that motivates and inspires you to take life by the horns because if you have that, then nothing can stop you.

I strongly recommend reading this book if you are in need of a little inspiration. It will make you laugh, cry and most importantly leave an impact.

Have a wonderful weekend :)
