Leadership: Women Then, Now and In the Future

Photo received from Refinery29

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that you are exuberant for the week to come :) This morning I came across an article about the Clinton foundation's campaign called No Ceilings: The Full Participation Report. Basically it is a tentative report on women's rights then, now and the challenges females still face in the years to come.

To be honest, some of these statistics really surprised me.  Especially the one stating that 1 in 3 women suffers sexual violence in her lifetime. That is sickening to me and even worse was that I was unaware of it.

In the article, Chelsea Clinton, the Vice President of the campaign says, "We really hope that this data provides a common set of facts and understanding of where women are around the world - and also where women are here in the United States in terms of workforce participation."

The article is extremely informative for everyone, not just women. I think to be leaders in this world, we need to be aware, especially as young people. I myself need to do a better job with keeping up on what is currently happening. I need to care more about issues whether they directly affect me or not.
