Things to Do in Greenwich
Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts, but I have been sick these last few days. I am feeling a lot better today, so I am back at it!
Although I didn't post yesterday, I did have the opportunity to visit Greenwich and it was so beautiful. It is quite a ways outside of London, but you can get to it by the tube, which is convenient. If you are looking for a more quiet place to relax and are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city I highly recommend taking a visit.
I was only in Greenwich for a day, so I was able to see a few things, but I am sure there are many other attractions and places to visit while in Greenwich. These are just the things I saw!
1. Royal Naval Hospital- This was such a grand building that you could see it from across the Thames. It used to be the hospital for the Navy, but now the Maritime museum owns it. You can walk into the chapel and the dining room for free. It is especially nice on warm and sunny days when you can explore the courtyards.
2. Walk Under the River- I thought this was fantastic! To get to the Royal Naval Hospital and the Maritime Museum you can walk under the river through a tunnel! It is about a 5 minute walk and might bother people who are claustrophobic, but it is something you must do if you can. Then you get to brag that you walked under a river :)
3. Visit the Maritime Museum- This is really informative for those who are into the history of the navy and boats. A lot of the museum is super interactive so it could be fun for children! Here is the link if you would like to check it out.

4. Go Inside the Queen's House- This was my favorite part! You can walk inside Queen Mary's house which is now a portrait gallery. It was amazing to see the rooms and the spiral staircase. If you like architecture and history this is for you. Admission is free!
My list of things to do in Greenwich isn't very long because I was only there for a short time. But it is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a nice sunny day. Definitely visit if you get the chance!
Have a lovely day :)
Morgan xx
