How to Pack for a Weekend Trip

Hello! I hope you all are as excited about this day as I am! Today I leave for one of the most beautiful cities in the world...Paris :)

Words can't even describe how ecstatic I am. I have been to Paris before and fell in love with it. I longed to go back ever since and here I am! I'm so blessed.

I only get to spend the weekend there, so I thought I would put together a post about the best ways to pack efficiently. Now, I'm no expert, but this is what I bring to save space.

Let's start with toiletries. Chances are if you are staying at a hotel they will provide soap, towels etc. so you won't have to worry about that.

Makeup: I need choices when it comes to makeup, so I bring a lot. If you are absolutely loyal to one brand of something bring it because they may not have it where you are going. Otherwise if you forget something you can always buy it there.
The Essentials: Foundation, mascara, eye liner, and a bold lipstick.

Other: This includes toothbrush, makeup wipes, soap etc. A lot of this stuff can be bought at any local drugstore, but I like having my own stuff.

The Essentials: Comb/brush, makeup remover, razor, face lotion, dry shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush.

Clothes: While I'm in Paris, it is supposed to be in the upper 90s :/ Due to this I was limited to bringing a lot of dresses. Which I don't mind at all. Depending on where and when you travel, you will be packing different things. Only bring what you know FOR SURE you will wear. If you question it at all, leave it behind. Pack basic items like shift dresses, a few patterned pieces and fancier outfits. This way you can mix and match.
The Essentials: Two patterened dresses, two shift dressess, two tank dresses, a black maxi skirt, one black tank top, one white tank top, two bras and underwear.

P.S. Bring one statement necklace to spice things up!

Shoes: This is going to be different for everyone. Because I am going in the summer, I'm only taking three pairs. They are all black because black goes with everything and is timeless :)

The Essentials: One pair of black heels, one pair of flats, one pair of comfy sandals.

That was just a brief description of the things I would bring on a weekend trip. The best part is, it all fit in my backpack!

It is easy to pack light if you bring basics and staple wardrobe pieces. Don't fret if you forget something. The world will not end :)

Most of all have fun and don't worry!

Unfortunately I will not be blogging this weekend :( But I will be sure to post about all of my adventures when I get back!

Have a lovely weekend.

Morgan xx

  1. Thanks for the encouragement to bring the essentials--good advice. I like the idea of bringing solid colors because it makes it easy to match things too.

    1. Mixing and matching is your best friend when you want to pack light! Thank you so much Esther :)
