7 Fall Activities

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! I hope you are all ready for the week to come.

This weekend I went home to spend some quality time with my family. It was honestly so nice to get away from all the homework and studying! During my time at home I complied a bucket list so to speak, of some fall activities that I would love to do during the next few months.

There are so many things to do during this wonderful season, but these are my favorites!

1. Go to the pumpkin patch- This one is my all time favorite. I love going to the pumpkin patch, picking out a pumpkin and then carving it. The process is so fun and you get to enjoy the beautiful weather. Go with friends or family and make a day out of it. A lot of pumpkin patches have other activities like hay rides! This will no doubt get you in the fall season mood :)

2. Pick Apples- Everyone knows that with fall comes the apple season. This is the time of year when the apples taste the best. Go to a local apple orchard and pick them for yourself! It is a fun way to spend a Saturday or Sunday and you get food out of it! It's a win-win situation. Then when you get home you can make yummy things like apple pie or apple cobbler :)

3. Watch fall movies- You may have never heard of fall movies before, but they certainly do exist. Some of my favorites include You've Got Mail or When Harry Met Sally. Grab a warm blanket and some apple cider and you've got yourself a wonderful afternoon!

4. Go through a corn maze- Here in Indiana we have lots of corn. When fall comes around some of that corn gets turned into a maze. This is a really fun activity if you want to be outside with friends or family. It is also a really fun date idea!

5. Take a walk- This is another one of my favorites. It is free and you get to see some beautiful scenery. One of the things I love about the Midwest is the change of season. The best is when the leaves change and all of the trees are bursting with warm colors. Find yourself a path and go for a walk. This can even be done by yourself! It is very relaxing and beautiful.

6. Bake- I don't know if it's just me, but fall always puts me in the mood to bake. Some of my favorite dishes are pumpkin pie, apple cobbler and cinnamon coffee cake. Baking is so fun and makes a really easy gift! If you don't want to eat it yourself make it for friends or family! I am sure they would love it :)

7. Craft- This one is a no brainer. If you are crafty there are so many great fall ideas on Pinterest. I've seen some beautiful wreaths and centerpieces that I would love to try. This is a fun way to get into the fall spirit.

Those were a few of my favorite fall activities. I am sure there are many more and I would love to hear what your favorites are!!

Have a crisp fall day!

  1. These are all on my fall bucket list too! This is definitely my favourite time of year, and your list has me really wanting to watch When Harry Met Sally. I think tonight I'm going to curl up with a cup of tea and watch it!
