The Perfect Pink Lip


Hello everybody! I hope the start to your weekend has been wonderful! Here in the Midwest we got our very first snow and I am loving it. I know most people hate winter, but not this girl! Winter is my favorite time of year :)

One of my favorite things to wear with an oversized sweater during the winter is a pink lip. You may think that a light pink lip can only be worn in the spring or summer, but this just simply isn't true! I wear my pink lipstick all year round :) 

It has taken me awhile to find the perfect shade for  my skin tone. I get pretty fair in the winter, so I wanted a color that wasn't going to make me look like a corpse. Here are my favorite products for the perfect pink lip...

First I apply my NYX lip liner in the color Mahogany. This is one of my favorite lip liners because it goes on smoothly and has a beautiful pigment. 

After that I contour my lips a little bit by adding more liner to the inner corner of my lips. Then I go in with the Smith's Rosebud Salve for moisture and to smooth out any harsh lines. 

Finally I apply Covergirl lipstick in the shade 445 pink chic where there is no liner. This is the perfect pink for me because it is bright and really pops against my pale skin. 

Everyone is different so don't be afraid to try new pink shades to find the one that works best for you. 

And definitely rock that pink lip this winter!! You won't regret it.
