2016 Goals



Hello everyone! I hope you all are having a sunny day :)

Today I wanted to talk about my goals for the year of 2016. This past year was great, but I feel like I just coasted through. This year I want to set attainable goals and work to achieve them. There is definitely a sense of accomplishment when you set goals for yourself.

My goals for this year have a lot to do with my blog, but also my life in general. I didn't want to set too many because I want to give 100% to each.

1. Achieve 1000 followers on Instagram 

Instagram is a platform that I got into this year. I really want to work at it more and create better content because I think it could be a really great outlet for my blog. I almost have 500 followers and would love to get to 1000 this year. Here is the link if you'd like to check it out :)

2. Get healthy

I know this is probably on everyone's to do list, but I think it is really important. I make an effort to go to the gym at least once a day, but an area that is lacking for me is eating healthy. A lot of times I will just grab a bag of chips because I'm always running around. This year I want to prepare healthy snacks for myself so that I feel better physically and mentally.

3. Volunteer

You all know this is always one of my goals, but this year I want to devote my time to this. I want to get more involved around my campus and do something to help people at least once a month. If you have any suggestions of fun ways to volunteer I would love to hear them!

4. Blog once a day 

This one is definitely hard for me especially when I am at school. I get so caught up in homework and stuff that I put blogging behind everything else, but not this year! I plan on trying to blog at least once every day for the next 362 days.

5.  Encourage  

During school I am always so busy that sometimes I forget about the people around me who are always helping me achieve my goals. This year I want to thank someone or encourage someone at least once a day whether it be my friends, family or my followers!

6. Distinguish Anxiety 

I have always been an anxious person and it is really hard to keep the worry at bay. This year I want to try and not think about things I can't control. Worry inhibits me from doing a lot of things and this year I want to change that. I would love to talk to any of you that also suffer from anxiety.

7. Eliminate gossip 

As women gossiping is something that comes natural, but I find that it is really not helping me accomplish anything in life. It is pointless and I would really like to cut it out. I want to build people up, not tear them down!! :)

Those were my goals for the year of 2016. I know I am not perfect and I know achieving these will be hard work, but I know by New Years Eve of next year I will be proud of myself for trying. I would love to hear some of your goals for this year down below!

  1. These are great goals! I have pretty much exactly the same instagram goal as you, I also want to reach 1000 followers and I want to post at least a photo a day to help that (I'm @curlyandwordy).

    Well done for aiming to blog every day - that's amazing! I'm sticking to every other day and that's hard enough for me haha.

  3. I absolutely love all your goals and even found some shared resolutions we have. <3 I'm definitely following. ;)
    One major goal I have this year is to take better care of my skin and body - from the inside and out. I'm hoping to do a healthy living series on my blog later this year, so please do let me know if you'd like to participate.
