Beautiful Bronze

Hello everyone! I hope your Monday hasn't been as gray as mine has. To be honest with you, I am so incredibly sick of winter. These long, gray days are making me lose my mind. I want to see the sun and feel its warmth again.

For those particular reasons, I have decided to get us all hype about spring break and summer by talking about my favorite bronzing products. Even if you aren't going anywhere this spring you can still achieve the beautiful bronzed color and no one will know you never left your house :)

Everyone knows that tanning is bad for you. The harmful UV rays cause premature aging and skin cancer, which is not what we want. The good news is that there are many products out there that give a beautiful glow without the harmful aftermath.

I definitely have a few favorites, but I am relatively new to the self-tanning game. For overall body lotion I love the Hempz Touch of Summer Daily Moisturizer. This gives me such a great glow and it doesn't smell like the typical self-tanner. To apply it I wash my hands and evenly distribute it on my legs, arms and chest. Watch out for your ankles, neck and knees because the product seems to bunch up in these areas and may look a little orange. Immediately after applying wash your hands so you don't get residue in between your fingers. I always put this on at night before I get into bed because it doesn't get on my sheets and I wake up with a little bit more color in the morning.

There are a ton of these lotions on the market, so if you have any recommendations of ones you love tell me down below!

Next I want to talk about adding color to the face. I am apprehensive to use self-tanner on my face because if it turns out orange there isn't really a way to cover it up. Not only that, but I have sensitive skin and don't want to risk a breakout. Due to this, I use my trusty bronzers in order to achieve that summer glow.

My favorite right now is the Sonia Kashuk Bare Illuminating Bronzer in the shade Goddess 40. I love this bronzer because the pigment has some shine, but not too much. Right now, it is a little dark for me, so a little goes a long way. I apply this to my cheekbones and forehead where the sun would naturally graze my face. Another one I like is the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher in the shade Ambre D'Or. This one is from when I was in London, so it is a little bit harder to find, but I am obsessed with it. I like it because the color is light enough and adds the perfect glean to my skin.

Those are my current go-to bronzers and body lotions to achieve a little color. I would love to hear what you use down below.

Thank you for reading and have a sunny day :)

Morgan xx
