Running Playlist

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday. I hope your morning has been super joyous and healthy. Health is exactly what I want to talk about today. One of my June goals is to get in better habits of eating right and working out regularly. So far, I haven't been as dedicated as I would like to be. I thought if I wrote a post about being more fit then I would be motivated to make better choices.

Last month I did something I never thought I would do. Running has never been my forte and every time I tried to run it just didn't work out. However, I saw people running around campus occasionally and felt envious that they were able to do so with such ease. Instead of saying oh well and giving up I decided to train for a mini marathon. Now I know what you are thinking...why would you do that if you hate to run?! My reason for doing this was to keep myself on track. I knew that if I trained without a purpose I would give up on the idea in about a week. With the mini marathon looming in my thoughts I was forced to actually work hard for what I wanted.

In case you were wondering I did end up finishing my local mini marathon! My time wasn't the best, but I ran the entire way without walking. Not only was I proud of that, but I was proud that I actually worked hard for my goals. All you have to have is a quality pair of running shoes, a bomb playlist and some motivation. I promise you can do anything when you believe in yourself.

One of the things that helped me the most was my running playlist. Spotify was my best friend when I had to train every day of the week. I would make new playlists after each training session to keep things fresh. Today I want to share with you one of my favorite running playlists.

Now, I only have a handful of songs on here because my playlists depend on how many miles I am going for the day. Obviously for the actual race my list was much much longer than this. I love this particular playlist because there is a little bit of everything. Some new songs, some old songs and everything in between. These are the jams that kept me going when I just wanted to give up.

I would love to hear about some of your favorite songs to put on a running playlist down below. Also, if you are thinking about doing a mini marathon I highly reccomend it. I can't even describe how accomplished you will feel after all those hours of training. Just do it.

Thank you for reading and have a healthy day!

Morgan xx
